New Lew’s® ParaMag® ITB Braking System Revolutionizes Baitcast Performance
Columbia, SC – Lew’s® launches highly innovative and effective braking system, ParaMag® ITB, in the new Custom Pro Baitcast Reel to be launched at ICAST in 2024.
ParaMag ITB (Inertia Transfer Braking) is the highest-quality cast control on the market, enabling maximum control and efficiency without sacrificing casting distance. After dialing in settings to meet your preferences, ITB takes the reins. Its highly responsive magnetic eddy current system seamlessly adjusts, providing precisely the right amount of force in proportion to your casting speed, virtually eliminating the need to thumb the spool with every cast and effectively reducing backlashes. The lack of magnetic braking force being applied while the spool is engaged provides a completely “free” feel while reeling.
The ParaMag ITB system is fully magnetic and does not require brake shoes, eliminating friction for extreme durability and long-lasting, consistent performance. This unique braking design is highly adaptable, allows for a wide range of braking adjustments, and is extremely quiet, unlike many other noisy braking systems. There are no batteries required or electronic components included, so no amount of water will inhibit performance. The recessed brake dial provides comfortable palming and adjustability of min/max braking force with fishing and weather conditions.
