Fox Cities Selected as One of 9 Best Labor Day Fishing Destinations
Avid anglers can find bass, pike, walleye, and bluegill throughout the area’s prominent waterways
GRAND CHUTE, Wis. – The Fox Cities have been named one of the best Labor Day fishing destinations by FishingBooker, the largest online platform for finding and booking fishing trips in the U.S. Beyond just fishing, the article also notes the Fox Cities area as a great place for travelers to hike, kayak, and recharge in nature.
“Our waterways began as a main source of transportation for settlers in the 1700s and have since transformed into a vital source of recreational activity for both locals and visitors,” says Maddie Jack, Marketing Communications Manager. “The Fox Cities have hosted a number of national fishing tournaments over the years, and we plan to continue showcasing all the amazing opportunities present for fishing throughout our communities.”
Lake Winnebago and Little Lake Butte des Morts are popular spots to catch largemouth and smallmouth bass, northern pike, walleye, sturgeon, and muskys. The Fox Cities area is also a popular spot for kayak fisherman as they can navigate the lock system and narrower portions of the waterways that are not accessible to motorboats.
