Pass The Great American Outdoor Act

Since 1916 when Congress made President Theodore Roosevelt’s dream of a national park service a reality, public lands and waters have been the backbone of American outdoor recreation, as well as a symbol of our nation’s commitment to conservation. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Americans are eager for opportunities to get outside at these national treasures. Sadly, our access to these treasures is currently threatened by backlogged maintenance costs and a lack of funding. Unfortunately, this backlog has been a long time in the making and is only getting larger each year.
Tell Congress to support the Great American Outdoors Act to fund our public lands and waters!
The Great American Outdoors Act includes:
- Funding for the Land and Water Conservation Fund, which is the federal government’s prime tool for maximizing boating and access and creating close-to-home recreation opportunities; and
- Restore Our Parks Act, which helps improve docks, restrooms, campgrounds, trails, roads
and more.
The Great American Outdoors Act will improve and expand recreation access to our public lands and waters, while positioning the recreation industry to be a catalyst for economic recovery in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
