Shimano School Tackles Destination Saltwater Fishing
Carter Andrews Describes his Fishing Obsession and the Neverending Chase for the Next Exotic Trophy
Shimano School returns on Tuesday, October 12, with another informative and entertaining event. JP DeRose hosts these live-streaming video seminars, featuring compelling topics and special guests from across the spectrum of the fishing world. Shimano School meets every two weeks and streams live on the Shimano Facebook Page and is available to view after the event on Shimano North America’s YouTube Channel.
Carter Andrews headlines this edition of Shimano School to discuss destination saltwater fishing. As the host of The Obsession of Carter Andrews television show, Andrews targets the full spectrum of saltwater game fish and does so across the disciplines. Whether trolling lures for marlin, casting plugs for dorado or busting fly tackle on epic yellowfin, Andrews continues to go big. A self-professed ‘obsessed’ angler, Andrews is chasing fish as often as 300 days each year and has earned the reputation of being one of the most complete anglers on the water today.
In this edition of Shimano School, Andrews will describe the opportunities and rewards of destination saltwater fishing, as he travels the globe in pursuit of the most challenging fish swimming in the most beautiful places. Andrews will also detail the Shimano rods and reels that he relies on to bring supersized saltwater predators to hand. “Rod and reel combos from Shimano have provided me with absolute power, whether I am fishing light tackle or for big game offshore,” reflects Andrews. “Shimano has built a system of rods, reels and line that take advantage of the most innovative technologies in the industry to craft the lightest, strongest and most durable fishing products on the market.” This is a Shimano School that every saltwater angler will appreciate.
We invite viewers to post questions to the Facebook livestream, while Andrews and DeRose provide the answers needed to help viewers find success on their next big game saltwater adventure. Shimano School is in session starting at 8 PM EST on Tuesday, October 12.
