Aaron Martens to stick with Shimano during Classic, Elite Tour

Even in Aaron Marten’s bass fishing world, the old French proverb has a place – “the more things change, the more they stay the same.” The two-time Bassmaster Angler of the Year will continue to use Shimano’s flagship reels – Metanium baitcasters and Stella spinning reels – on the B.A.S.S. Elite Circuit, and while fishing his 16th Bassmaster Classic this week in Greenville, S.C. as part of a new sponsorship agreement with Shimano.
“Aaron is known for his finesse fishing expertise, where the performance of our Stella reels can provide an advantage,” said Bob Mahoney, who heads up Shimano’s pro staff operations. “He’s been a long-time fan of Shimano reels, and we look forward to him using our flagship casting and spinning reels series to help reach that $3 million figure this year in career earnings.
