LaCrosse, WIS – When you are on a roll, you’re on a roll. During the Bassmaster 2012 Elite Series angler Britt Myers has been catching fish as well as anyone, and better than most. His run of four straight events making the cut included back to back second place finishes at Bull Shoals and Douglas lakes. This run of four great events has Myers currently in 11th place in the Angler of the Year standings and well within the cut off for his first Bassmaster Classic appearance.
So what does an angler on a hot streak like this do the day before practice begins for the Mississippi River Rumble kicks off? He and his two roommates on tour, Terry “Big Show” Scroggins and Gerald “G-Man” Swindle headed to a minor league baseball game in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. While there he proved that bass isn’t the only thing he can catch, Myers snared a home run ball from his bleacher seat. “I am hoping this is the start of a good few weeks here in Wisconsin,” said Pinnacle Fishing Pro Britt Myers.
Myers and his roommates started practice earlier today for the Mississippi River Rumble. Following this weeks event, they head to Green Bay, Wisconsin to tackle Lake Michigan. “Maybe in Green Bay I can catch a pass from Aaron Rodgers, now that would be cool,” laughed Britt Myers.
