Elite Series pro Greg Hackney is satisfied with his performance at the Bull Shoals event.
“I have no complaints,” said Hackney. “I caught one bass off the bank today. Then I went back to the bank and caught them flipping. The bigger fish were up shallower before the bad weather hit, but I have no complaints.”
Hackney finished 11th.
Chris Zaldain had coffee all week at Bull Shoals.
“I fished deep all week targeting smallmouth bass,” said Zaldain. “I used a 3.5-inch Strike King coffee tube and dragged it along a long-tapering point with steep drop-offs in 25-to 30-feet deep water. I used 6-pound Seaguar line all week.”
Zaldain ended up 10th.
Cliff Prince likes his light line.
“Bull Shoals is the best fishery I’ve been on all year,” said Prince. “I’m tickled how it turned out for me. Even though I am from Florida, I use a lot of light line there. I knew I had to use lighter tackle here to do well. It didn’t take much for me to adapt.”
Prince placed 4th.
