The field left Veterans Freedome Park this morning for Day Two of the Mississippi River Rumble under nearly identical conditions as Day One.

Florida rookie pro Kyle Fox who invaded the media this morning sits in first place with his 16 pounds, 8 ounce bag from Day One leads the pack out on moving day as the field will be cut from 99 angler to 50 for Saturday’s cut field.
Aaron Martens who sits in second place, three ounces behind Fox led the field out on Day Two as he was boat one going out. During his morning interview with Bassmaster Elite Series Emcee Dave Mercer, Martens expressed confidence in what he was doing but unsure of river conditions and how the fishing could change. Martens, who has has been in first or second place after Day One twice in the last three tournaments brought 16 pounds, 5 ounces to scales on Day One.

Terry Butcher sits tied for sixth place, a mere 1-3 out of first place said he should have had a better day but lost three that would have helped him a whole bunch.

The field will be cut following today’s weigh-in as the top 50 will compete and will then be cut down to the top 12 following weigh-in tomorrow for Championship Sunday.
