The leaderboard looked real familiar following weigh-in after Day One of the Bassmaster All-Star Semi-Final Thursday afternoon. ‘Why?’, you might ask:
Last years All-Star event ended with the same two holding the top two spots today.

Edwin Evers brought the only five-fish limit to the scales that gave him 13 pounds, 1 ounce, a near 2-pound lead over fellow Nitro Pro and 2011 All-Star Champion Ott DeFoe.
“It was a real grind today,” said Evers. “I got seven keeper bites all day, it was a lot more than I expected so I’m optimistic for tomorrow because at this point, I should be a lock for Saturday.”
“I’m doing something that I don’t think anyone else is doing,” Evers said. “If I can catch five more keepers tomorrow that weigh 7 or 8 pounds, I’ll feel really good about my chances.”
Ott DeFoe had his three best fish in a matter of 15 minutes but isn’t sure what tomorrow will bring. If one looks at the leaderboard, DeFoe is probably lock for Saturday but a few fish on Friday will certainly asure him that spot.
