We appreciate your continued patience as we become acquainted with all the inner working of NBAA and prepare for the 2013 season.  We know it has taken some time, but we hope you agree it will be worth the wait! Back in January at the NOVI show Directors meeting we published all the DATES for 2013 NBAA events listed below but not the locations. So here are some announcements on what we have been working on!

The 2013 NBAA National Championship – April 25-27

Exciting news!

A first for NBAA!  We will be filming the 2013 Spring Championship for television on NBC sports!  The event will also be streamed live world-wide on the internet so all your friends back home can see you! There is still time for all qualified teams to get registered currently we are already at 338 boats!  UNEQUALED media coverage for NBAA anglers!

If you have not yet registered for the championship please do so at your first opportunity and remember you must register by April 15th if you want to get your earned start position otherwise you go into the random draw for take off. Current 2013 Membership will be required to participate in the 2013 NBAA National Championship. This is due to the new insurance policy that provides the following coverage to NBAA and all local divisions.

    $1,000,000 General Liability Insurance
    $10,000 AD&D event coverage
    25,0000 Excess Medical Coverage
    And more!

The policy covers active NBAA divisions and members and with your 2013 membership paid you will be ready to fish your local division when it starts.

2013 St. Clair Open: June 15

As we announced at the directors meeting back in January at the NOVI show we will be returning to Lake St. Clair this year for The 8th Annual NBAA St. Clair Super Bass Open. This event will take place Saturday June, 15th. More information or to get registered ….click the link below)

2013 One on One National Championship and Director’s Championship: September 7-8 

We will be returning to Kalamazoo this year for The Director’s Championship and The One on One National Championship. We are already looking at ALL NEW location for the One on One National Championship for 2014

Director’s Championship will take place on Gull Lake September 7

One on National Championship on Gun Lake September 8

2013 Fall Classic: September 21-22

The 2013 Fall Classic will go to a new location in 2013 and take place at the smallmouth fish factory and scenic Indian River, MI.

Burt and Mullet Lake will be the tournament waters! Event takes place September 21-22

Please welcome Doug Scott to our National Federation staff!

One of NBAA’s own. Doug Scott who runs NBAA Southern Lower Michigan Challenge out of Coldwater, MI. Long time NBAA pro-staffer has joined our national team as of March 1. Doug brings with him a rich history of NBAA and years of experience in running events. Doug will be working not only NBAA events but many of our other diverse events across the nation as well. 2014 NBAA National Championship

We committed in January at the Novi show directors meeting to have this event locked down by March and we are happy to report that it is done!  We have one document we are waiting on and expecting any day now and we will make a special announcement on the 2014 NBAA Championship as soon as we get it.  We are already in talks with a site for a 2015 NBAA National Championship at a BRAND NEW location that NBAA has never visited before.
