American Fishing Wire & HI-SEAS has signed B.A.S.S. Elite Pro Casey Ashley to its AFW/HI-SEAS pro staff. Ashley, a 30 year old pro from Donalds, South Carolina, is a young talented angler that brings determination, motivation and loyalty to the AFW/HI-SEAS pro staff team. He has ranked in the top 3 finishes numerous times over the course of his 8 year career thus far and the 2014 Bassmaster Classic will be his fifth Classic appearance.
“We’re excited to have Casey Ashley join our team of successful anglers and represent HI-SEAS in the 2014 Bassmaster Classic,” states Steven Miller, AFW/HI-SEAS Sales Director. “He brings a great dynamic of skill and finesse to the sport of professional bass fishing and we’re looking forward to watching him succeed with our HI-SEAS lines.”
“I’ve fished with HI-SEAS 100% Fluorocarbon line, and it’s definitely the most sensitive line I’ve ever used”, Ashley said. “I need a line to help me win tournaments, and HI-SEAS has proved to be a winning line.”
Ashley will join AFW/HI-SEAS pro Terry Scroggins to fish in the coveted Bassmaster Classic in Birmingham, Alabama. AFW/HI-SEAS pro Cliff Pace, and defending champion winner of the 2013 Bassmaster Classic, suffered an accident and broke his leg which will prevent him from competing this year.
Along with being an Elite Pro, Ashley is also a country music artist and one of his recorded songs chronicles his passion for the sport called “Fisherman”.
