Humminbird, Minn Kota Join PAA as Associate Sponsors

BENTON, Ky. (March 24, 2011) – Humminbird and Minn Kota will support the 2011 Bass Pro Shops PAA Tournament Series season as the newest PAA Associate Sponsors.

In each event of the Bass Pro Shops PAA Tournament Series presented by Carrot Stix, the angler with the biggest bass of the tournament will be awarded a new Humminbird 898c Si Combo sonar unit. A new Minn Kota Talon shallow water anchor will be awarded to the angler with the biggest bass from the entire Tournament Series season, and a new Talon will be awarded to the big bass winner at the PAA All Star Series tournament in April.

The Humminbird 898c Si Combo features a brilliant color, ultra-high resolution 480V x 800H 7-inch display, Side Imaging and DualBeam PLUS sonar with 8000 Watts PTP* power output, GPS Chartplotting with built-in ContourXD mapping, and advanced Fishing System capabilities. In addition, it includes dual card slots for maps and saving waypoints, as well as three programmable preset buttons to save your favorite views.
Anglers have come to love the Minn Kota Talon shallow water anchor for its myriad benefits in a variety of fishing situations. Talon features a composite fiberglass spike that deploys vertically with an Auto-Drive system that powers the spike into the bottom with three successive, increased-force hits. This secures your boat in rough or smooth conditions. Special features include an Auto Up/Down remote, Rough Water Mode with Auto-Drive sequences every 10 seconds to ensure the spike stays on the bottom, minimal moving parts and no hinge points, Quick Release Mounting bracket and an optional Deployment Notification Alarm that alerts you if the Talon is deployed when you start the engine.

Final day launch/weigh-in: Launch at 7 a.m. at Sunset Cove, weigh-in at 4:30 p.m. at Bass Pro Shops, 5900 Sugarloaf Parkway, Lawrenceville, Ga.
At stake: Cash and a 2011 Nitro Z8 with Mercury 225 and T-H Marine Atlas Jackplate, along with points toward PAA Angler of the Year title and qualification for the 2012 PAA All Star Series and 2011 Toyota Texas Bass Classic
