Jimmy Houston focused on Forrest Wood Cup.
“I didn’t catch a 20-pound bag like I did at Grand Lake,” said Houston. “In practice I fished deep for three days, but all of those areas were covered up. I went shallow to get a limit. I know I can’t win this tournament fishing shallow. I want to make the Championship.”
Houston sits in 81st after Day 1 on Chickamauga.
Andy Morgan happy to be fishing at home.
“I’m not sure what leading the Angler of the Year into this event here in front of people I know means yet,” said Morgan. “It means a lot. It means a lot to be doing this in front of the people from the hills and hollers of east Tennessee.”
Morgan is in 22nd after the first day at Chickamauga.
