Jones DQ’d on Day Three

According to Bassmaster.com’s blog, Alton Jones was disqualified from competition today after he received help from his Marshal this morning as he aided Alton in getting his boat unstuck from a sand bar shortly after take-off.  Jones tried to cut across a flat shortly after take-off but quickly found the sand bar not far from the Metro Boat Launch.

According to BASS rules, your Marshal cannot assist you in any way. After various attempts to get the boat unstuck, Jones, knowing the ramifications, had no choice but to get his Marshal to aid in getting the boat off the bar
