Solar Bat is proud to announce that legendary professional fisherman Larry Nixon has joined Bill Dance, Aaron Martens, Jordan Lee and Matt Lee on the Professional Fisherman Signature Series Sunglass design staff. Solar Bat owner and optometrist, Dr. Gary Nesty, heads the design team but the pro fishermen have the final approval of the features incorporated into the design carrying their signature.
Doc Nesty states, “It is Solar Bat’s mission to design sunglasses that will improve the fisherman’s performance on the water. There is no better way to accomplish that mission than to enlist the services of some of the best professional fishermen in the USA to assist in design and then torture test their design ideas. There is no more accomplished pro fisherman to be on the Solar Bat staff than Larry Nixon and Larry’s first signature series, the LN1, is a real winner.”
Larry Nixon is enthusiastic about the Solar Bat approach to designing performance fishing sunglasses. Larry states, “When Doc approached me with the idea I did not hesitate to accept the offer. I have worn Solar Bat sunglasses for many years but had never participated in the design process. I have been a fisherman for many years and know what is needed in a performance sunglass. Now I have the opportunity to put those years on the water into helping design the ultimate fishing sunglass.”
Signature Series sunglasses carry the Solar Bat name logo on the outside of both temples with the signature of the fisherman who designed the sunglasses inside the temple.
