(April 2013) –
Let’s Go Fishing of MN (LGF) has scheduled their annual fundraising banquet on Friday, April 26th, 2013 at the Medina Entertainment Center in Medina. The theme for this year’s banquet is “Partnering Together.”
LGF is a non-profit that was created to enrich the lives of people and build communities through free fishing and boating excursions. The organization was founded in 2002, has 30 total chapters throughout the state of Minnesota, and has taken more than 80,000 people out on the water.
The collective work gets done by a network of 2,100 volunteers with a passion for the outdoors that come together to serve seniors, veterans, and youth. According to LGF Founder Joe Holm, “The program returns a sense of freedom to those we serve giving each person a safe opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and make new friends.”
A primary focus for 2013 for LGF will be to add more new chapters in the Twin Cities Metro area and for the first time, into Wisconsin. In early March the first LGF Chapter in Wisconsin was organized in Rhinelander. The 2013 fundraiser will help with needed funds to start new chapters and to grow the mission of LGF.
The fundraiser will include several unique, one–of-a kind live auction items- a day of fishing for two with Al Lindner, four tickets to the 3M Golf Tournament with access to the 3M suite, a stay at a private home on Madeline Island during their Fall Apple Festival, and many more.
The fundrasier is open to the public and will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013, at the Medina Entertainment Center located at 500 Highway 55 in Medina, MN. Tickets are $35, or a reserved table seating eight persons is $280. More information and registration is available by calling (888) 235-8448 or on-line at www.lgfws.com.
