Lowrance, a recognized leader in marine electronics systems, has agreed to extend its long-running sponsorship of Bassmaster professional bass tournaments, B.A.S.S. announced today.
The Tulsa-based electronics manufacturer will continue as a supporting sponsor of the Bassmaster Elite Series, Basspro.com Bassmaster Opens Series, B.A.S.S. Nation events, Carhartt Bassmaster College Series presented by Bass Pro Shops and Mossy Oak Fishing Bassmaster High School Series presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors.
“As one of the first B.A.S.S. sponsors, Lowrance is honored to continue our relationship with this prestigious organization,” said Gordon Sprouse, Marketing Director with Navico. “The opportunity to work hand-in-hand with some of the world’s best anglers has been instrumental in making Lowrance the No. 1 fishfinder brand by competitors in B.A.S.S. events — more than all other marine-electronics brands combined. We look forward to continuing that sponsorship, which ensures Lowrance continues to be the fishfinder brand that B.A.S.S. anglers count on, the most.”
“We are proud that Lowrance is continuing its longstanding relationship with B.A.S.S.,” said Bruce Akin, CEO of B.A.S.S. “They’re a leader and innovator in the electronics industry and have worked side-by-side with B.A.S.S. to help grow the sport of fishing through the years. Their sponsorship support helps enhance the biggest stages in bass fishing, from our High School events on up through the Bassmaster Elite Series.”
Lowrance, which is credited with inventing the first consumer fishfinder, the FISH LO-K-TOR, in 1957, will be able to exhibit and provide activities for fans at expos connected with each of Bassmaster tournament circuits, especially including the Bassmaster Elite Series.
As an exhibitor in the Bassmaster Classic Outdoors Expo presented by DICK’S Sporting Goods, Lowrance will display its new level of fishfinding performance with HDS LIVE, which includes built-in Lowrance CHIRP sonar, support for Active Imaging, StructureScan 3D with Active Imaging and revolutionary LiveSight Real-Time Sonar.
Active Imaging sonar delivers superior clarity and the high-resolution images of fish and structure at longer ranges, and LiveSight sonar “turns all fishing into sight fishing by delivering detailed views of fish as they swim in and around cover,” the company says.
The agreement also includes advertising programs for Lowrance on B.A.S.S.’s industry-leading website, Bassmaster.com, and magazine, Bassmaster, as well as promotion to weigh-in crowds at each Elite Series, Open, College and High School event.
