Martens on Bananas

Former BASS Elite Series Angler of the Year Aaron Martens has a so-so relationship with bananas. He’s certainly not anti-bananas, but they still don’t sail with him on a regular basis.

“I prefer to eat my bananas before I get in the boat,” said Martens. “It’s an old superstition but it doesn’t bother me as much as it does some people.  My wife and I actually won a team tournament while carrying bananas in the boat.”
