MINNETONKA, MN-Registration is underway for the Masters Bass Circuit’s inaugural season. Online and by fax or regular mail, competitive anglers are able to sign up for the hottest new trail in team bass fishing.
Registration began January 18th and already spots are filling fast on all three qualifying tournaments, which are located on a trio of North America’s finest bass waters: Wisconsin’s mighty Lake Winnebago Chain; the smallmouth-rich depths of Lake Michigan’s Bays de Noc; and Minnesota’s legendary Lake Minnetonka.
Besides a shot at great bass fishing and big winnings, teams that register for all three qualifying tournaments before noon (CST) on March 15, 2011 are in line for other perks as well. Considered “MBC Premier Teams,” these “earlybird” entries will be allowed to use convenient installment billing options, enjoy priority entry in all three events, and priority boat number assignments.
Plus, MBC Premier Teams are eligible to compete for the coveted MBC Team of the Year Title, which carries a $2,000 cash award and free berth in the 2011 MBC World Bass Championship.
Single-tournament entries-which cost $400 per event-are accepted until midnight (CST) on Sunday the week of the each event, although anglers are encouraged to register early to avoid being locked out of a full tournament. (Field size is limited to 50 boats.) Also, a $50 late fee kicks in at midnight (CST) on Sunday three weeks prior to the tournament.
First place at MBC qualifying tournaments pays $10,000 (based on full field). Plus, the top 10 point-accumulating teams at each qualifier will be invited to the 2011 MBC World Bass Championship, scheduled for Sept. 24-25 on Leech Lake, Minnesota. The Championship carries a $20,000 first-place paycheck, ultimate bragging rights in team bass fishing, and a wealth of media opportunities.
Teams may register by mail, fax, or online. Full details and printable registration forms are available at mastersbasscircuit.com. Or call toll-free (877) 893-7947 or email [email protected] for more information.
