American Bass Anglers (ABA) announced today that Maui Jim has signed an exclusive sponsorship agreement with American Bass Anglers. Maui Jim manufactures sunglasses designed with superior features for anglers. The company’s patented PolarizedPlus2® lens technology blocks UV rays and glare while delivering brilliant color, enhanced definition and depth perception so that every detail is crisper and cleaner.
The Maui Jim will be a Product Showcase Sponsor for the Weekend Bass Series, American Fishing Tour Championship, The American Couples Series Championship, The Military Team Bass Tournament and the 100% Plus Team Tour. Anglers will be able to test Maui Jim’s sunglasses and see for themselves how the company’s lens technology enhances the fishing experience by allowing them to better see under water and spot changes on the surface of the water.
“We pride ourselves in partnering with best in class companies; and Maui Jim is the top of the industry”, said Morris Sheehan, president of American Bass Anglers. “Every angler needs sunglasses. Maui Jim not only brings UV and glare protection, but their technology allows our anglers to see more details, on the surfaces of water and underneath the water, allowing them to more effectively locate and catch bass. Our anglers will fall in love with the exceptional vision offered by Maui Jim sunglasses. They stand behind their technology; and their warranties are the best in the industry.”
“There have been a lot of advances in sunglasses in the past few years,” said Mike Battistoni, Maui Jim’s Fishing and Marine Specialist. “Anglers need full-frame, wrapped eye protection to block the maximum amount of extraneous light and glare to better spot fish. We’ve introduced new lens and frame technologies that offer full protection while significantly reducing the weight of your sunglasses. For example, you can put on a pair of our new PureAir™ sunglasses and experience a dramatic enhancement in what you see above and below the water; but, the sunglasses are so light that you can wear them all day and forget they’re on your face. We are looking forward to showing bass anglers how our technologies work to improve their fishing experiences.”
Anglers will be able to try Maui Jim Sunglasses at the Ray Scott Championship in Decatur, AL, on Wheeler Lake November 12-15, 2014. Starting in 2015, Maui Jim will have a presence at all Weekend Bass Series, 100% Plus Team Tour events, as well as the Military Team Bass Tournament and the American Fishing Tour and Couples Series Championships.
