ASHLAND CITY, TENNESSEE – Thousands of weekend bass fishermen dream about one day “turning pro” and fishing in a big-money tournament alongside their competitive angling heroes. Sykora, 37, earned his berth in one of professional bass fishing’s most prestigious events by winning the $100,000 FLW BFL All-American bass tournament at Wilson Lake, Alabama in June. He has amassed a total of 22 top 10 finishes and eight first place finishes in BFL Series tournaments, plus two top 10’s in the Rayovac FLW Series Central Division. “For a guy like me that started out at the grassroots level fishing local weekend pot tournaments, actually being able to compete in the FLW Forrest Wood Cup is a dream come true,” Sykora said.
