Inshore anglers living near the coast have the best of both worlds: redfish and specks nearby, plus the option to pursue bass and other freshwater species when the bite is hot. With a wealth of prime fishing waters within reach, these anglers need a versatile, performance-oriented rig that can withstand the rigors of inshore saltwater angling and still deliver the features necessary to be a bona fide freshwater craft.
The new Ranger Aluminum RP190 measures 18 feet, 8 inches in length and is rated for 115 horsepower. Available with a wide range of factory-rigged outboards, the center-console design boasts a 96-inch beam and features a foam-filled hull and wood-free construction to ensure a quiet, stable boat with absolute fishability in skinny backcountry waters or open bays. Built atop a pad hull, the RP190 delivers the kind of lift, handling and performance typically reserved for much larger boats.
“The newest addition to the Ranger Aluminum line is the best of both worlds,” said Ranger Boats President Randy Hopper. “It’s the most versatile, performance oriented aluminum boat out there. Coastal anglers, as well as guides on some of the big southern reservoirs, are going to love the design and features built into this boat.”
An ideal crossover for bass fishing, the RP190 has a tremendous amount of fishing space on the front and rear decks, is honeycombed with storage for tackle and rods, and comes equipped with a trolling motor and console-mounted electronics. With a 24-inch depth inside the cockpit, space for two on the fold-down leaning post and two more in the jump seats that flank the oversized aerated livewell, there is no shortage of space for anglers or gear.
The fiberglass center console offers three stand-up, rocket launcher-style rod tubes on both sides, with dedicated dry storage for even more rods up to 8 feet in length, complete with individual tubes, in the port side compartment. Additional storage can be found under the front deck’s center and starboard lid, as well as in the rear deck under both jump seats. At the stern is easy access to batteries, breakers and oil fill. A removable, fold-down pedestal seat for the rear deck comes standard, as does a bicycle pedestal seat for the front deck.
At the helm, drivers have access to Bay Star hydraulic steering, a full complement of gauges, binnacle-mounted remote throttle control and power trim. With space for mounting large-screen electronics at the console and bow, a Lowrance Elite 3X and Minn Kota Edge 70 trolling motor come standard. Ranger’s rugged, easy-to-clean Rawhide™ surface coats the interior and gunnels of the new RP190, which sports a completely painted hull side and running surface.
A factory-installed Fishing Package is available for the new Ranger Aluminum RP190, delivering premium aftermarket accessories including a 4-inch setback plate, full-size spare tire, 45-quart Yeti cooler with cushioned top, water pressure/trim gauges and two-tone paint.
The new Ranger Aluminum RP190 comes standard with a custom-fitted, NMMA-certified RangerTrail® trailer for easier towing and maneuvering. The aluminum, saltwater-ready trailer features galvanized cross members for exceptional strength. Each trailer is equipped with a center swing jack, locking swing-away tongue, integrated load guides and waterproof lights.
