FEBRUARY 8, 2012-MINNETONKA, MN-Bass fans have one week left to cash in on great perks through the North American Bass Circuit’s earlybird registration.

Although registration for all four qualifiers on the 2012 trail remains open through the Sunday before each event-or until the events fill-the Circuit’s “Premier Team” earlybird program closes February 15.

Now entering its second season, the NABC has already registered nearly double the number of Premier Teams from 2011. Premiers enjoy convenient installment billing options, priority entry in all events, and priority boat number assignments. Plus, Premier Teams have great odds of qualifying for the 2012 NABC World Bass Championship, set for Oct. 5-6 on Pools 4 and 5 of the Mississippi River-which offers a $20,000 first-place paycheck plus ultimate bassin’ bragging rights. Premiers are allotted 20 of the 30 points-based berths (and are eligible for all 30).

To be eligible for the Premier Program, two-person teams must register to fish three or more NABC qualifying tournaments by the February 15 deadline. The NABC’s 2012 qualifying schedule includes: Lake Winnebago Chain at Oshkosh, Wisconsin, May 12; Madison Chain at McFarland, Wisconsin, June 23; Gull Lake at Cragun’s Resort, Brainerd, Minnesota, Aug. 4; Leech Lake at Trapper’s Landing Lodge, Walker, Minesota, Sept. 8.

Payouts at NABC qualifying tournaments are based on the number of teams entered in each event. Based on a full 50-team field, the payout will be $10,000 for first place, $3,400 for second, $1,500 for third, and pays out to $500 for 10th place. Sponsor contingencies add thousands more in potential payouts.

As another bonus, all teams that fish three or more NABC qualifiers are eligible for the 2012 NABC Team of the Year title, to be awarded to the team finishing the regular season with the highest point total from three qualifying events. The overall Team of the Year will receive a $2,000 cash award. The second place team in the TOTY standings will receive $1,000; third place, $500; fourth place, a paid entry fee to a 2013 NABC qualifier of their choice.

The NABC is open to all two-person teams regardless of club or sponsor affiliation. Single-tournament entries cost $500 per team, and anglers may register by mail, fax, or online. The complete 2012 schedule, rules, links to online registration and printable registration forms are posted at northamericanbasscircuit.com.
