Shimano pro Cody Meyer is no fan of the wind on Beaver Lake during Day 1 of the FLW Tour competition.

“I had a great time today,” said Meyer. I caught a lot of fish. It was brutal out there with the wind today. It can stop anytime.”

Evinrude pro Wesley Strader had a rough time during the practice period.

“I was struggling in practice,” said Strader. “Yesterday with no boats on the water helped replenish the fish I believe. Today I drew a line at a creek and didn’t leave. I cranked all day.”
