Skeet Reese had a solid start to the Table Rock Elite event. Weighing 16 pounds today put him in eighth. A solid start, but too small for Reese.
“I’m never really happy unless it is a 38-pound limit,” said Reese. “I was fortunate to get the bites I did. My first bite of the day was a big one, and it got off.
“The colder weather tomorrow is gonna change fishing. I’m happy with what I have today and I will go and get them tomorrow.”
Fletcher Shryock was nervous heading out today. He clearly overcame his morning issues and weighed 16 pounds 8 ounces placing him in seventh heading into Friday.
“I had great practices heading into the first two tournaments of the year,” said Shryock. “I had extremely high expectations at those two events and didn’t do very well. Heading out this morning, I was nervous that I could even catch a keeper. I adapted to the conditions. The five bass I weighed today came on five different lures.”
