San Antonio, Texas (December 18, 2014)–
The Association of Collegiate Anglers has revealed that Ranger Boats will further its support of the 2015 Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series. As a series sponsor, Ranger Boats will enjoy extensive promotion with collegiate anglers throughout the nation including endorsement of the one of a kind Ranger Cup University program.

Modeled after the most lucrative contingency rewards in the industry, the Ranger Cup University is the only program of its kind exclusively for collegiate anglers and is open to those competing in Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series events throughout 2015. Regardless of which boat brand they own and including free registration, anglers in compliance with the guidelines can earn merchandise prizes and a once in a lifetime fishing opportunity.

The highest finishing Ranger Cup University team in the BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Cabela’s will compete in a head to head competition with the highest finishing team from the FLW College Fishing Championship.  This unique battle includes a trip with paid expenses, fully rigged Ranger Boats for their use during the event, over $2,000 in cash and prizes as well as nationally televised coverage on Americana Outdoors Presented by Garmin, one of the nation’s longest running outdoor programs.  Additional televised coverage of the event will also be provided on the Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship Television Series.  Both programs are broadcast on numerous television networks as part of the largest dedicated coverage of college fishing in the nation.

“Without a doubt, the world of collegiate fishing is one of the most exciting opportunities we have as a company,” said Ranger Boats Vice President of Marketing, Bart Schad.  “We get the chance to connect with anglers and build relationships with guys that are just getting started in competitive fishing. Their enthusiasm for the sport is contagious and we make a lot of friends in the process – hopefully some lifelong customers as well.”

“Ranger Boats’ support of bass fishing in general, is legendary and they are one of only a handful of companies that were involved in the early growth of college bass fishing and they have been there ever since,” said Wade Middleton, President of CarecoTV, and Director of the Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series. “It continues to be an honor to call them our partners in this series of events.”
