TBF Junior World Championship heads for Hot Springs

The Bass Federation (TBF) and Visit Hot Springs are pleased to announce that the 2015 TBF Junior World Championship will be held in Hot Springs Arkansas August 20th -22nd during the Forrest Wood Cup Championship week.  Young anglers in the 11-15 year old age group who have qualified as their States Champions from all 47 TBF State Federations as well as Canada will be invited to attend this event, with their families for what promises to be an exciting week of competition and clean family fun.

“I can think of no greater event than this one, which gets young people started early in the sport of fishing and continues to foster the kids’ enthusiasm for the sport, which is one of the best ways I know to steer them toward productive lives.

While here, the national participants and their families will enjoy the excellent fishing that Lake Hamilton offers. And in their spare time they will be able to enjoy all the other attractions and activities that Hot Springs offers. In addition to our historic heritage as the prototype for the National Park System, Hot Springs offers great entertainment, including our Mountain Tower, Magic Springs Water and Theme Park, great dining and warm hospitality We are eager to host these young champions and show them all Hot Springs has to offer ” added Arrison.

“Returning to the Hot Springs area is always a pleasure for us”, cited TBF National Youth Director Mark Gintert. “This town has a rich place in America’s history as well as a wealth of fishing opportunities and things to do for our anglers and their families. The Visit Hot Springs Staff is top notch and committed to the very best event we can have for our anglers and their families.”

The scenic shores of Lake Hamilton will provide the fishing grounds for these future stars of the sport to test their skills. On day one of the competition the anglers will be paired with another angler from a different state in boats provided by the Federation and FLW volunteer boat captains. At the conclusion of day one, the top angler from each TBF division will advance on to Saturday’s final round. Day two will pit the division winners against each other and a new 2015 JWC Champion will be crowned! All participants who make Saturday’s final round will receive a scholarship and all of the participating anglers will go across the FLW Stage before the start of the Forrest Wood Cup day 3 weigh-in.

The latest and greatest Ranger Boat models powered with the all new Evinrude G2 Outboards will be on site at the Junior World Championship weigh in area each day giving test rides to anglers, families and the general public, everyone is invited and it is all free of charge.
