Team Evinrude Angler Captures 8th Bassmaster Win

Sturtevant, Wis., April 12, 2011 – Evinrude professional angler, Davy Hite, captured his 8th Bassmaster win at Pickwick Lake in Alabama this past weekend.Hite entered the tournament with a mission – to win. After leading for two days, he won the event with a four-day total of 84 pounds, 9 ounces. Hite ended with 8 pounds more than the second-place finisher.

 Team Evinrude’s own Denny Brauer placed third with 75-5. Hite takes home the $100,000 Purse, plus a secured entry into the 2012 Bassmaster Classic, the nation’s highest profile fishing event. “We are excited to have two of our highest profile anglers finish in first and third positions at the Pickwick event,” stated Christopher Berg, Evinrude’s Director of Marketing and Strategic Planning. “Davy and Denny are the epitome of elite anglers and Evinrude is proud to provide them the power, performance and reliability they need to win.
