B.A.S.S. and Yamaha Marine Group have signed an agreement for Yamaha to continue to sponsor Bassmaster events through 2020.

Yamaha is an Official Premier Engine Sponsor of all B.A.S.S.-owned events. These include the Bassmaster Elite Series, Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Opens Series, Carhartt® Bassmaster College Series, Costa Bassmaster High School Series and the grass-roots B.A.S.S. Nation regional tournaments. Also included is the Bassmaster Classic, the annual world championship of bass fishing, and the Toyota Bonus Bucks Bassmaster Team Championship.

Yamaha Marine Group, based in Kennesaw, Ga., markets and supports a full line of four-stroke outboards for bass and other boats. B.A.S.S., based in Alabama, is the most prestigious fishing tournament organization in the world, as well as a membership organization of more than 500,000 avid bass anglers.

“The B.A.S.S. tournaments give Yamaha the opportunity to demonstrate the power of the V MAX SHO outboards year-round,” said Dale Barnes, division manager, Marketing, Yamaha Marine Group. “We are proud of the fact that our outboards provide anglers with the most reliable way to get to the fish, and we appreciate the opportunity B.A.S.S. gives fans to learn from the pros. The B.A.S.S. sponsorship provides a great way for Yamaha to support the sport and reach the fans who love and live it.”

“B.A.S.S. is pleased to have Yamaha on board once again as an Official Premier Engine Sponsor,” said Bruce Akin, CEO of B.A.S.S. “We look forward to working together during the next four years to promote and grow the sport of bass fishing.”

At Bassmaster events, Yamaha showcases its V MAX SHO® outboards built to power bass boats. Fishing fans are able to experience the V MAX SHO’s performance capabilities by taking a free ride through the Yamaha Demo Tour conducted at the Bassmaster Classic and during Elite Series events. The program also allows fans to interact with Yamaha Pro Anglers who participate in the largest bass fishing tournaments in the country.

Yamaha also reaches fishing fans through other B.A.S.S. properties. They include “The Bassmasters” TV show, Bassmaster and B.A.S.S. Times magazines and Bassmaster.com.
