Champions Tour Taps Paul Neumann to be Tournament Director

Continued Growth and Excitement for Upcoming Champions Tour Season

The Champions Tour is pleased to announce that the veteran tournament angler Paul Neumann will serve as the Champions Tour Tournament Director beginning with the upcoming 2019 Champions Tour season.

Paul Neumann took a step back from the Minnesota tournament bass fishing scene for a handful of years, to focus on his farming business and spend time with his young family. As his kids have grown, and gotten into the sport of fishing and his farming business is up and running, Neumann is poised and excited to once again be involved in the sport that brought him much joy, success and friendships earlier in his life.

“This sport has evolved so much over the years, but the aspect that I love the most is the opportunity to compete at the highest level, and develop lifelong friendships with your fellow competitors,” stated Neumann. “This will be quite the role reversal for me as I’m used to bumping trolling motors with many of the anglers!”

In his role, Paul will be tasked with ensuring all rules of the Champions Tour are explained, followed and enforced throughout the 2019 Champions Tour season by all competing anglers. Neumann is no stranger to the Champions Tour as he was involved with the tour during the 2018 season.

The Champions Tour aims at providing bass fisherman with beneficial and current bass fishing information regarding the tournament, which can be followed along real time via ClassicBass.com and on social media. “The Champions Tour has raised the bar not only in competitive fishing, but in stewardship, mentor-ship and community involvement as well,” explained Neumann. “I’m extremely proud to part of this and I’m looking forward to an amazing year of the Champions Tour.”

Along with serving as he tournament director, it is likely you’ll see and hear Paul breaking down the events as they unfold on the water. “We’re very excited to have Paul serving as our tournament director beginning this season,” said Scott Bonnema, Owner of the Champions Tour. “Not only is he a dedicated individual to anything he pursues, but he is extremely knowledgeable about competitive bass fishing, so his insight will allow our viewers to get a detailed perspective of what is going on throughout each of our Champions Tour events this season.”
