Major League Fishing to visit Cullman, Smith Lake

The Cullman community packed their county commission chambers Tuesday, not to protest a tax increase or call for improved roads, but to support professional bass fishing.
The new Major League Fishing (MLF) Bass Pro Tour is coming to Cullman and Smith Lake later this year, with a tourney scheduled ofr April 30 through May 5..
Along with several hundred adults, dozens of high school students turned out, in full tournament colors, to boost the event and to see a couple of home town heroes who have done very, very well in tournament fishing, brothers Matt and Jordon Lee. Jordon, in particular, has had unprecedented success, with back to back Bassmaster Classic championships—at $300,000 a pop—as well as being first winner of the new Major League Fishing (MLF) Bass Pro Tour in an event held in Florida. Bassmaster Classic winner Randy Howell of Guntersville was also part of the intro.
