In a significant shift within the angling world, Jeremy Mattingly steps down following the National Crappie League’s acquisition by a private group
.Announcement of Departure:
The National Crappie League LLC has recently been acquired by a private entity, leading to a new direction under the leadership of Paul Alpers and Tim Ponder. In this transition, we extend our deepest gratitude to Mr. Jeremy Mattingly for his contribution to the sport, the league, and the community of amateur and professional anglers across the United States. His vision and leadership have been invaluable, and his legacy will continue to influence the league and the sport for years to come.
As of January 2, 2024, Mr. Mattingly is no longer the owner of National Crappie League LLC. Jeremy will stay on through the completion of the championship and expo to help organize the expo. “ It’s been an honor to have the role I had and to see where this trail has gone. I wish them the best in the future and it’ll be nice to get back to competing instead of standing on the sideline. It is my hope that all anglers will support the NCL. For Fishermen by Fishermen” he said.
