COLUMBIA, S.C. (October 13, 2015) – Cabela’s Crappie USA tournament trail wrapped up it’s 2015 season on Tennessee’s Patoka Lake recently, and found all 5 top finishes in the Amateur division, Biggest Fish of the tournament and three of the top 5 finishers in the Semi Pro Division using Johnson Crappie Buster Shad Scales and Tubes to net their catches.
The second place team of Eric and Leann Howard in the Semi Pro Division fished the Johnson Crappie Buster series, as did fourth place finishers Doug Laake and Ryan Rohl and the fifth place team of Thomas Hankins and Glenn Gill. Each team was awarded $250 in Johnson incentive cash.
Johnson Shad Scales and Tubes swept the amateur division with anglers fishing taking all top five finishes plus the biggest fish of the tournament. Crappie anglers have learned that Johnson is the name they can rely on for crappie success.
The top five amateur teams include:
National Amateur Champions 2015 – Danny and Brent Whitecotton
2nd place – Rick and Cassandra Barnes
3rd place – Joey and Levi Briggs
4th place – Fred Walker and Danny Sisson
5th place – Michael Bray and Charles Powell
The amateur team of Gregory Oaks & Shane Yocum used Johnson Shad Scales to net Biggest Fish honors with a crappie weighing 2.14 pounds.
