Lion’s Lake Minnetonka Crappie Contest

The second annual Lion’s Lake Minnetonka Crappie Contest will be held April 27 at Bay View Event Center in Excelsior (note date changed due to late ice).

 This year we have increased our cooperation with NPAA to support the Future Angler Foundation (FAF) both in monetary support and the FAF Charter: to further the education and participation of people through the outreach of the fishing contest and educational seminars at the event improving the quality and participation in the sport of fishing.

 NPAA members will be sponsoring several seminar booths and demonstrations on watercraft for invasive species protection, and basic fishing competencies.  We will provide the first 100 kids a rod/reel combo and a grab bag of tackle for attending the NPAA seminars.  We are also having a boat, motor and trailer raffled, silent auction and drawings for the adults.  For all current activities, times, and benefiting charities check out MNLakeparty.com/crappie.
