Crappie University ‘students’ last year found it ‘enlightening’

LAFAYETTE — Two Iberia Parish outdoorswomen who have fished for sac-a-lait for many years signed up Wednesday afternoon for the second-ever Crappie University course scheduled for Saturday at the Lite Center on the University of Louisiana at Lafayette campus.
Renetta Judice, a Loreauville native who lives along the Bayou Teche in rural Iberia Parish, and her roommate, Lafayette native Gayle Gilbert, said they enjoyed the inaugural sessions in February 2018 so much there was no question about going to the next one at ULL. Their registration brought the total to 59 men and women as of Wednesday.
