Jackson, Wis. – Let’s clear the immediate mystery of the supposed beastly appearance. It’s Bro, man – he’s a beast on the ice. Dude’s larger than life. And for three solid days he’ll be sharing scary-cool fishing techniques and monstrous tips at the St. Paul Ice Fishing Show.
What could be more satisfying, even fortifying than a long weekend of Bro-isms? How about riding shotgun in the Bro-mobile for you and a lucky-to-be-your-friend, friend, compliments of Frabill? Yahtzee! You need only drop an entry at the Frabill booth while rubbing that lucky snowshoe hare’s foot in your front right pocket.
Besides stalking panfish with the freak fisherman, the winner will confiscate a king’s ransom of premium Frabill ice fishing gear, from premium ice fishing outerwear to trick rod and reel combos, including the new ice-breaking 241. (Ask, and maybe Frabill will throw in the tiptop of tip-ups, the techno Calibrator.)
The Frabill Nation, in fact, brings forth a legion of unmatched ice fishing swordsmen. Here’s your chance to meet ‘The Twins,’ walleye fishing laureates Scott and Marty Glorvigen. And then there’s the shaman of Sheboygan, Pat Kalmerton of Wolf Pack Adventures. Want to shake hands with the first woman to ever win a national professional tournament tour? Marianne Huskey will be meeting and greeting in St. Paul. (Consider this a brush with fame.)
Canadian sensation and renowned outdoor writer Jeff ‘Gussy’ Gustafson will be sharing upper Ice Belt techniques. Great Lakes’ properties Eric Haataja and Bret Alexander will be on hand to pass along their mastery of tackling goliath bodies of water. Walleye sage Dean Arnoldussen can take you on a magical mystery tour of hardwater walleyes, Frabill Nation style.
The ice fishing ‘universe’ represents with the Polish dream team of Jacek Gawlinski and Zibbi Wojcik. They’ve stormed the international ice fishing tournament scene, and recently collaborated with Frabill’s brain trust to create the artisan Jiggler Long Rod series.
Bemidji’s Paul Nelson brings a graduate level knowledge of pike, walleyes and perch. And Brad Durick, North Dakota’s ambassador to catfish, is equally as well versed when the surface hardens – he’ll be there to tell all.
Add to the mix southern flatland ice-heads Chris Bressler and Jon Bloom, the in-laws perpetual tournament threats. And for those social media junkies, Frabill welcomes Loren Keizer, who travels by the cyber-handle ‘Hardwater Fanatic.’
The Frabill Nation is multidimensional to say the least.
Incentives continue. Swing by Camp Frabill and get a free Frabill/Plano ice fishing tackle box. Better be one of the first 4,000 show goers, though… They’ll go like fat shiners in a small bucket.
And then there’s the quirky but cool ‘hoodie promo.’ Let your fingers walk over to www.frabill.com, order a severely discounted, classy and functional hooded sweatshirt, wear it to the ice fishing festival, and leave donning a hat representative of the Frabill Nation – sweet and stately.
Realistically, not pretentiously, interacting with the Frabill Nation is worth the price of admission alone. And you can trust the company that’s produced top-notch ice fishing products since 1938.
