Design contributions came from a number of Frabill Pro-Staff, ice fishing ambassador Brian “Bro” Brosdahl being one of the chief architects. “Dave Genz, who is unquestionably one of ice fishing’s founding fathers coined the term ‘we don’t fish alone, just independently,'” says Bro, giving credit where credit is due. “This ideology stands as tall today as ever. “But to fish effectively as a single soldier in a greater platoon, you need the proper armaments, and in this case it’s Frabill’s new PRO Ice Fishing Shelter.”
Feature for feature, the PRO clearly sits atop the mountain of one-person shelters on the market. What makes it unique? Where to begin… From the outside in, the PRO features a shielding and durable 600 denier skin. “It’s the finest fabric on any portable shelter out there,” asserts Bro. “Virtually bulletproof and makes the wind lay down like a dog.” An exclusive 4-way sliding seat makes you feel like a Navy admiral. Effortlessly shift left and right, front to back, to get the perfect perspective of your ice holes.
Beyond the incredible comfort and flexibility, Bro notes another advantage of the PRO’s seating system. “You can actually slide far enough back to keep your boots in the base. Man, does getting your feet off the ice make a difference for keeping the toes toasty.”
Clearance, or headroom, is another hallmark of the PRO. Set-up and fishing, the center of the shelter is a full 75-inches tall. Go ahead, stand-up and stretch those legs.
