The 24-inch ultralight model is built on a solid graphite blank, designed for jigging with the lightest baits. The Quick Tip model is built on a 27-inch solid fiberglass blank that bends in the top third of the rod to take advantage of other finesse techniques. Both have a new rubberized cork split grip for added sensitivity and stainless steel guides that help prevent ice forming.
“There’s no time for a reel that seizes up in the cold. Some winters, it’ll be 30 below for two to three weeks at a time,” says “Bro”. “To keep reels operating smoothly at those temperatures, you need reels that are properly lubricated.
