We’re back on Lake of the Woods, in what has become a yearly tradition, to fish muskie with Pete Maina & Duke Basketball legend Christian Laettner. With the combined knowledge of both Pete and Christian, who’ve put many hours on these waters, we have plenty of spots to try. Having lots of spots is a good thing for any angler, but is especially helpful on a giant body of water like Lake of the Woods when the winds of October blow in. You may not be able to see the high winds we experienced on the show, because we were mostly able to fish protected spots.

Those spots produced fish for us. Many fish! This is the reason we keep coming back, lots of action on fish that aren’t typically known for high numbers, the “fish of 10,000 casts” isn’t always true in the fall.

We’re once again staying on the beautiful piece land where Grassy Narrows Lodge is located. A picturesque setting in the Canadian wilderness, with hardly any distractions.
