Northland Fishing Tackle®, NPAA Partner Since Day One, Renews Annual Membership
Northland Fishing Tackle®, the Bemidji, Minnesota company known for quality fishing tackle and consisting of people who have a passion for fishing, renewed their 2009 NPAA annual supporting partner membership.
‘We are excited to renew our membership of the National Professional Anglers Association. Despite the current challenging economic conditions, we fully support the NPAA’s continued efforts to expand the sport of fishing at all levels, said John Crane, Northland Fishing Tackle Brand Manager. The NPAA is open to all anglers wishing to become affiliated and learn more about tactics, sponsorships, the industry, youth events and to help grow fishing participation. The organization recently held its annual conference to one of the largest crowds ever, and experienced a 28 percent gain in individual members and a 33 percent hike in industry sponsors in the past year alone.
The Northland Fishing Tackle 2009 catalog showcases one of the most complete product line-ups in the tackle business. From ice fishing to open water, the popular yellow and red packaging stands out in tackle retailers coast to coast. They also sponsor one of the most versatile fishing teams in North America, TEAM NORTHLAND. The catalog is a who’s who of tournament winners, TV hosts, guides and experts. More importantly, their catalog is loaded with the word, NEW.
This means entire new product introductions, new colors, new and improved designs as well as new sizes, all with the purpose of helping fishermen catch more fish. Crane said, ‘We’re proud of the strides our company has made over the past 34 years developing tournament tested jigs, rigs, spinnerbaits, spoons & soft plastics, and really excited moving forward into 2009.’
The company recently released the hottest ice fishing lure collection ever introduced . . . the Bro’s Bug Collection. Pioneered by ice expert Brian Bro Brosdahl, this series of lifelike ants, worms, bugs and grubs includes the Mud Bug, Bro Bug and Gill Getter bait delivery devices as well as Bro’s Bloodworm, Slug Bug and Scud Bug soft plastic insect finesse tails.
The lifelike Mimic Minnow Fry and Slurpie Small Fry are now available in a 1and 1/2 inch size as well as the original 2 inch length. The final touch on this ice-fishing selection is the Puppet Minnow a horizontally balanced swimming lure that darts and fly’s like a live baitfish.
The word NEW means anglers need to investigate these lures from Northland:
