MINNESOTA MUSKIE EXPO TO FEATURE SHIMANO “GARAGE” REEL CLEANING, LATEST TACKLE
LADSON, S.C. – For Immediate Release – April 5, 2016 — Anglers attending the always popular Minnesota Muskie Expo on April 8-10 in St. Paul have more to look forward to than just new tackle. Once again, Shimano’s service tech crew will have a special ‘Garage’ area set aside to show anglers how to properly clean and maintain their reels, and all free to charge.
“When you spend hundreds on a top-end baitcasting reel from our Calcutta or Tranx series, you need to maintain it just like you regularly change the oil in your vehicle,” said Shimano’s Doug Bouse, who heads up the tackle manufacturer’s customer service department. “We’ll assist you in making sure your reels are cleaned properly, and will show you the right places to oil. Beyond just buying one of our reels in hopes of catching a 50-incher, we want to make sure it performs to your expectations season-after-season.”
Along with the maintenance instructions, Shimano reps and local pro staff will be available to talk about the Calcutta Conquest 300 and 400, Shimano’s newest entries into the muskie reel world. Shimano continues to offer the Tranx 500PG and HG reels, along with Compre, Convergence and Sojourn muskie rods. Anglers can also check out the new award-winning PowerPro Maxcuatro braid, where its thinner line diameter allows heavier test braid use on smaller line capacity reels.
Another key highlight of the show is noted ‘Musky Hunter’ Jim Saric’s seminar on Friday at 5pm. Show goers can expect to find Saric at the Shimano booth at certain times on Friday and Saturday to talk tackle and muskie fishing techniques.
The 22nd annual George’s Minnesota Muskie Expo takes place in Gangelhoff Center – on the campus of Concordia University, 235 Hamline Center, North St. Paul, Minn. For expo information, visit: www.muskieexpo.com.
