Big muskie caught on Wisconsin River in City X, WI on 6/19/2010
Had been fishing over 10 ½ hours straight by myself without even a follow, and was just about to give it up for the day, when I hooked and landed a heavy 45” (previous pic). I almost called it a day after a quick pic and release, but decided to take a few more casts. Only 2 casts later, within 10 to 15 yards of the 45”, this musky followed in. On my 5th figure eight, I saw my bait disappear and set the hook. It was quite an adrenaline rush a fish this size thrashing around at boatside! I was able to fight and land the fish by myself, then flag down another boat to help get a quick pic and video before releasing. It finally paid off to take those last couple casts!
