As spring approaches and the ice and snow begins to melt, outdoors enthusiasts’ thoughts turn to the fishing opener and the annual Treeland Challenge, which will celebrate 35 years of fishing, family fun and camaraderie May 9-12 on the Chippewa Flowage.

Per tradition, the Challenge kicks off Thursday, May 9, at Treeland Resort with door prizes and a presentation from Wisconsin DNR Fisheries Biologist Max Wolter, who will provide the latest information on the Chippewa Flowage fishery.

Fishing will take place Friday through Sunday, May 10-12, on the Chippewa Flowage.
