2013 Schedule Change For The Oahe MWC Event

NOTICE TO ALL MWC ANGLERS

As many of you may or may not know, the events division of the North American Media Group sold on December 31, 2012, to include MWC.
One of the things I wanted to make sure we did as the new owner was honor the previously announced dates, locations, entry fees, etc. for the 2013 Masters Walleye Circuit events.
MWC registration opening date of Jan. 14th was also previously announced and we wanted to honor that as well and did so. Registration is currently going quite well and we thank each of you for that.
As the new owner the very last thing we want to do is come in and make a lot of changes to an already great circuit like MWC.
Sometimes that is beyond our control.
After exhausting all avenues to make the Oahe event happen on or as near those previously announced dates as we could, last week it was confirmed that it would not be possible.
The South Dakota authorities would not give us a permit for the July dates that were announced last August at the World Walleye Championship and any close dates were not good for all the local stakeholders.
So, the MWC staff worked dilligently and hand in hand with the local facilities in South Dakota and our South Dakota partners and the new dates are June 7-9, 2013
All teams that were registered for the Oahe event were notified by Phone earlier this week and changes have been made to the website.
Again we apologize for the any hardship this change has caused you as it was not our intent and it was beyond our control. I assure you that it was no fun for us either.

Based in Ponca City, Oklahoma, the Cabela’s MWC is open to two person teams regardless of club or sponsor affiliation. Entry fees will remain $650 per tournament, of which more than 100 percent is returned to anglers at the qualifiers, World Championship and Team of the Year races. Registration remains open through the Sunday night prior to each tournament. However, teams that sign up before the February 15 earlybird deadline enjoy additional perks, including installment billing and improved odds of qualifying for the World Championship.
