Anglers Insight Marketing LLC™ (AIM) announced that the final day cut for the AIM Pro Walleye Series™ tournaments will be 50% of the Pro Angler and Co-angler fields. These expanded fields are a result of several recent enhancements to the AIM tournaments.
First, the JJ Keller Fishing Team has pledged a $10,000 cash award to the 2010 AIM Angler of the Year. This significant award means that every rank place is important in accumulating Angler of the Year points. Even a Pro Angler that places outside of the payouts will still earn Angler of the Year points, and will want to compete on Day Three of each tournament.
Second, the AIM Bay Mills Invitational Tournament is a special event in the AIM schedule open only to the top 50 Pro Anglers. The 2010 Invitational will have a purse estimated to be 166% of entry fees. Like the Angler of the Year award, every rank point is important in achieving the position to receive an invitation to the 2011 AIM Bay Mills Invitational Tournament.
Third, Me and My Catch has pledged a special award for the Pro Angler who catches the largest walleye at each tournament. Me and My Catch will provide a certificate valued at $500 towards a photo replica of the winning walleye. Having the opportunity to fish on Day three will allow more Pro Anglers the opportunity to earn this special award.
All of these factors are only possible due to the exclusive AIM Catch-Record-Release™ format. “CRR” is the centerpiece of every AIM Pro Walleye Series™ tournament. This format allows the AIM Pro Anglers to “weigh” their seven largest fish each day regardless of local bag limits or slot size restrictions. Using “CRR” the Pro Angler that catches the biggest fish always wins – a simple, but previously elusive objective. Plus, all the walleyes are photographed and immediately released to be caught again someday.
“CRR” also allows for anglers to come from behind, right up until the last possible moment of the last day of competition. The venues for the AIM Pro Walleye Series™ tournaments are all known for numbers of walleyes as well as trophy size walleyes. This means that the last bite of the day could be the fish that vaults the Pro Angler into “the money”, or allows the Pro Angler to advance several places.
