AIM Announces Schedule for Upcoming Tournament in Akaska, SD

Plymouth, WI – July 10, 2009 – Anglers Insight Marketing LLC™ (AIM) announces the schedule for the next AIM Pro Walleye Series™ event, which is being held in conjunction with the South Dakota Walleye Classic – a hugely successful regional festival.
The next AIM Pro Walleye Series™ in 2009 will be held August 13 to 15 in Akaska, SD. The AIM Pro-Am tournament will be the centerpiece of this festival, with attractions for the entire family. The festival begins in Akaska with an opening ceremony at 4:30 pm on Wednesday, August 12th. A “Meet the Pros” Supper begins at 5:00 pm. The AIM competitors – Pro Anglers and Co-anglers – will be paired at the Rules Meeting and fans can participate in several fund raisers including a “Calcutta”.
The walleye tournament begins with a mass start at 7:30 am on Thursday, August 13th. The take-off is at the Swan Creek landing on Lake Oahe. During the day, fans can enjoy chain saw carving exhibitions, entertainment, and art displays. The competitors return at 3:30 pm, and then will trailer their boats to the AIM weigh-in stage in Akaska. The weigh-in starts daily at 4:30 pm. A pork supper will be served from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
The tournament continues on Friday, August 14th. During the day, fans can enjoy more demonstrations and entertainment. Following the weigh-in at 4:30 pm, a Barbeque supper will be served. Plan to also attend the Bull-O-Rama at 6:00 pm and the Western dance at 9:00 pm.
On Saturday, August 15th the field of anglers is cut in half. More exciting activities are scheduled for Saturday, including a kids fishing contest, games, and interesting exhibits. Entertainment continues all afternoon. The top 50% of the field of competitors again fish until 3:30 pm. Awards will be presented to the top finishers at the final weigh-in starting at 4:30 pm.
The activities continue after the tournament. On Sunday, a church worship service will be held followed by a pancake feed and ranch rodeo.
