Plymouth, WI – February 24, 2009. AIM™ is pleased to announce that Navionics®, the industry leader in electronic charts, has committed their support to the AIM Pro Walleye Series™.
“The affiliation with AIM is a natural extension of Navionics’ core business of developing high-definition fishing maps, essential to successful tournament fishing”, said Jeff Brodeur, Navionics sales manager for the HotMaps product line.
Several years ago, Navionics made a commitment to provide anglers with the best available freshwater fishing data and deployed its own survey crews on the most popular tournament lakes in the country resulting in exclusive high-definition lake maps, including maps for the four AIM™ tournament lakes; Saginaw Bay, Green Bay, Lake Oahe and Lake Winnibigoshish. Over 700 high-definition lake maps, and over 14,000 total lakes, are now available in Navionics 2009 editions of its HotMaps Premium and HotMaps Platinum lake map products. Scott Matheson, AIM™ President and CEO stated, “We are proud to have Navionics on board with us, their cutting edge products and attention to details that make a difference to all anglers’ stems from a genuine desire to be the best, and not settling for second.”
Navionics high-definition lake maps offer anglers up to 1′ contours, and in its HotMaps Platinum edition; 3D bottom views, top down photo/map overlay, and panoramic lake pictures. “With the greatest number of lakes, unmatched charting accuracy, and 3D bathy, HotMaps Platinum freshwater lake maps are unrivaled,” says Brodeur. These products are designed to help all types of anglers find the structure and transitions such as reefs, drop-offs, vegetation, humps and holes that hold fish.
Navionics’ pro staff manager Rochelle Chouinard adds “The feedback we hear all the time from professional anglers is that Navionics cartography has changed the way they fish. Being able to locate the structure that holds walleye is key to catching more fish and, in turn, cashing more checks. But you don’t have to be a pro to benefit from this technology. The tournament format that AIM has developed helps Navionics reach a larger audience, so that weekend anglers can get more out of their time on the water.”
Anglers Insight Marketing, LLC (AIM) is an angler owned organization dedicated to lead the fishing industry in competitive angling through the insight and knowledge of its owners who are predominantly participants in the sport.
