Minneapolis, Minn. – Anglers in search of improving their walleye fishing skills will plan to attend the fourth annual All-Star Walleye School in Wisconsin’s famed Door County. The dates of the school are August 12 – 15, 2014 at the Lodge at Letham Smith in Sturgeon Bay. Students from all across North America attend with one common goalĀ-to dial in on big walleyes. Learning from the very best walleye anglers in the country is the key. Top notch instructors like Kevin McQuoid, Mark Courts, Brian “Bro” Brosdahl, Bill Shimota, Dan Stier, Eric Olson and Paul Meleen will share their skills and techniques on the water in their Evinrude-powered Ranger Boats as well as during focused, classroom educational sessions.
“I’ve never fished with such excellent equipment, from rods, reels, electronics, boats and motors. Everything was top notch,” shared one past attendee after giving the school tens on a scale of one to 10 when asked to rate the school. “Seeing the pros’ organizational skills and how they make decisions was more beneficial than just classroom time. Getting on the water in their incredible boats took this to a whole new level. They are all such good communicators, and will share everything to help us students be better walleye anglers.” The school gives both classroom time, one-on-one conversation with the pros and two-on-one time on the water during four unique on-the-water sessions (weather permitting).
“Sturgeon Bay is home to big, beautiful walleyes in August,” added Chip Leer, co-host of the school and emcee of the Cabela’s National Walleye Tour (NWT). “Such a renowned fishery, we’ll be able to teach and show a number of techniques and how to dissect new water.” The combination of All-Star instructors and a world-class destination, coupled with a peak time of the year, means the group will catch a lot of fish. That makes everyone happy.
“This is really the best learning environment available,” said Champion Dan Stier of Mina Lake, South Dakota. One of the top walleye tournament anglers in the world, Stier has numerous titles on his professional fishing resume and enjoys being a part of the All-Star Walleye School instructor line up. “The one-on-one instructor time and hands-on experience in different boats make it a lot easier to explain techniques and show what we do…and why we do it. It is a lot easier with the give and take.”
Space is limited and packages include lodging. Pricing starts at $775 per person. Interested parties should contact Chip Leer at 218-547-4714 or e-mail: [email protected]. The All-Star Walleye School is brought to you by Liddle Marketing Company.
