Forestville, WI – The National Professional Anglers Association announced that aluminum boat manufacturer Alumacraft has become the newest Supporting Partner of the non-profit organization. Pat Neu, NPAA executive director said, “It’s a tribute to the growth and successes of the NPAA to have Alumacraft join us as the newest Supporting Partner.”
The NPAA’s mission is to increase the financial and organizational support of the recreational fishing industry. Members include marine manufacturers, guides, charter captains, tournament anglers, and industry experts from throughout North America.
“We want to build a closer relationship with NPAA Supporting Partners, professional anglers and guides because they run our boats,” said Kent Thostenson, Alumacraft marketing manager. “We like the direction the association is heading.”
Alumacraft employs more than 200 workers to design, build and market 75 models of aluminum boats. The 70-year old company is one of the largest privately owned boat manufacturers in the country and operates two manufacturing plants located in St. Peter, MN and Arkadelphia, AR. Alumacraft boats are built with 2XB hulls that are double-plated with no seams bow to stern on all models over 17 1/2-feet long.
“Whether in the bigger boats or other models, our customers are usually families looking for a multi-species fishing rig and also a boat for a family outing,” Thostenson said. “We’re also popular with guides, competitive anglers and sport show hosts. Anyone who wants a tough, versatile boat that has everything they need for a full day on the water.”
The company re-introduced the Tournament Pro (T-Pro) 185 and 195 models in 2014 due to popular demand. “In their recent issue, Game and Fish magazine compared a dozen boats, and named the T-Pro 185 as the Standout,” he said. “Based on versatility, construction and value, the editors gave credit to the T-Pro series for being a well-equipped fishing boat that’s also a great family recreational boat. We’re proud of that and we’re proud to be a new NPAA partner.”
