Plymouth, WI – April 16, 2009- AIM™ announced today that 24 Tournament Series have accepted invitations to send Teams to the 2009 AIM International Walleye Championship™.

The final tournament of the 2009 AIM Pro Walleye Series™ will be the AIM International Walleye Championship™. This Championship will be held at Lake Winnibigosh near Bena, Minnesota on September 2 – 4, 2009.

AIM™ Walleye Pros will earn an invitation to compete in the Championship by competing in at least one of the three 2009 AIM Pro Walleye Series™ tournaments. The anticipated field of over 100 AIM™ Pro Anglers will compete for a total purse exceeding $150,000, including a first place prize of a new Lund 2075 Pro V boat and Mercury Verado motor! Payouts for this Championship will exceed 100% of entry fees.

For 2009, AIM™ has opened the entries to the Championship to the “Team of the Year” from the many regional walleye tournament series across the U.S and Canada. To date, AIM™ has received confirmations from over TWENTY tournament series that will offer invitations to the Championship. These invitations are offered without any cost to the regional tournament series, but are intended to add excitement to their series events.

The 2009 AIM International Walleye Championship™ will give team members from the regional tournament series the opportunity to compete against the top AIM™ Pro Anglers – and compete for the same huge payouts. It is anticipated that one team member will enter as a Pro Angler, while the other enters as a Co-angler – although BOTH may elect to enter as Pro’s. Every added entry will increase the total purse. With the commitment to payout over 100% of entry fees, the total purse is expected to top $200,000!

Additional participating “Sanctioned Series” are being added daily, and this number will continue to grow up to the August 3, 2009 registration deadline for the Championship.
